≡ Allow Me to Into-duece Myself: Sarana ‘Stokely’ Smith
I told y’all BLK GRL is making moves and this is a new year with new developments, please consider yourself introduced to Stokely. She will be heading up our Holistic Hood column.
Sarana is native of Hartford CT, a wife and mother to three children. She is fierce advocate of youth, birth, the environment and women’s health/rights. Sarana works as a doula, herbal practitioner, artist, and model. To combine her passion for art and holistic/sustainable living with her belief in service, and dedication to her community she created JuneBug IFCA ( initiative for creative action)_ This non profit organization holds a mission is to uplift, unite, and empower our communities through earth based education and arts initiatives. It aims to expand the reach of holistic living principals while addressing difficult social constructs.
JuneBug IFCA focuses on uniting youth, artists, activists, and organizers to help facilitate the process of finding meaningful and sustainable solutions for the betterment of ourselves and our communities. We are ecstatic to work collectively with BLK GRL INC in building this community of women dedicated to empowerment, and unity in this sustainable social justice movement.
